Taken from Bruce Lee’s famous quote and martial arts philosophy, this session focuses on having a very adaptable solution-based approach and the importance of project leaders being cross functional and well versed in numerous Lean-Agile Principles, Practices, & Frameworks including Scrum, XP, Kanban, & Various Scaling Frameworks, in order to help organizations, deliver maximum value. This session will use real world case studies from IT and non-IT contexts. 

Today, the manager's role is replaced by the VUCA leader's. The role of an effective leader in the VUCA world has changed dramatically. We expect leaders to move from telling to motivating and inspiring others, aligning ‘teams of teams'’ goals to the overall strategic direction without micromanaging while giving each individual a sense of belonging to a shared set of values and purpose.

Using an integral approach, we will explore multiple perspectives on an organization's people, practices, structures, cultures, and worldviews. This enables us to understand better where they are by applying Ken Wilber’s Spiral Dynamics theory.

Participants will then be led through a series of exercises individually and in small groups to become more aware of our values and how to identify them in the actions of others. We will end by coalescing our learnings into tools we, project and product managers, can use to reduce scaling friction through value-based decision-making.

Before there was the discipline of Business Analytics, project management professionals tracked their progress with multiple measurement tools and methodologies. With the advent of Business Analytics there arose a new kind of project involved in data mining, building models and deriving insights that could be applied to the business with the end-result of generating measurable outcomes.
