Giving project updates or meeting summaries is critical to successful project management. But it's also challenging: How much should you say? How should you organize the information? How do you customize it for different audiences?

During this presentation, you will learn how to communicate updates efficiently and effectively, whether you are speaking to your team, your manager, or senior executives. The focus is on verbal communication, but everything you learn applies to writing as well. We will use breakout rooms to practice, so you feel ready and confident to use your new skills right away.

About the Instructor:

Karen Schiff Karen Schiff is the founder of Well Said Coaching. Since 2017, Karen has helped hundreds of professionals, many in the tech sector, speak with greater clarity, confidence, and impact. Her clients have worked at companies such as Apple, Amazon, Google, Meta and more. They include emerging professionals, entrepreneurs, and executives. In addition to working with private clients, Karen has delivered speaking skills workshops for Google, Clover, American Institutes for Research, and the Society for Human Resource Management. She led a workshop on interviewing skills for PMI Silicon Valley a few years back, and looks forward to conducting another interview workshop on October 25. Throughout her career, Karen has worked in communications in myriad ways: as a trainer, teacher, and writer in both the private and public sectors. She earned her M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, B.S. in Speech from Northwestern University, and certification in Teaching English as a Second Language from UC Berkeley.
