The PMO is often seen as the group that keeps the trains running, but in reality it can be so much more than that. When it’s set up well, the PMO brings order to chaos, helps teams understand where they’re going, and gives leaders the clarity they need to make thoughtful choices. In this session, I’ll talk about what it looks like when a PMO steps into that role—when it supports the work instead of policing it, and when it becomes a partner leaders turn to because it helps them see the whole picture.

I’ll share experiences from supporting large design and technology organizations where priorities changed constantly, teams spoke different “languages,” and the pressure to deliver never slowed down. Her background spans creative, technical, and product organizations, including her time as Director of Program Management supporting the Global Experience Design group at Comcast. There, she helped guide the organization through complex planning cycles, shifting priorities, and ongoing transformation. Lauri’s work centers on making strategy feel accessible and execution feel manageable. She holds an MBA from Penn State, along with the PfMP, SPC, CCMP, CSP-SM, and many other certifications that reflect her commitment to continuous learning. Today, she advises companies on PMO strategy, portfolio management, and cross-functional delivery.
