In order to scale up your IT to meet the demands of today’s business environment, adopting the DevOps methodology is a proven strategy leveraged by application and infrastructure teams from organizations of all sizes. With both application development and infrastructure management being code driven, adopting the right tools, the applicable processes and driving a cultural mind shift for adoption is key to implementing DevOps.
DevOps implementation is about 2-3 key strategies working in synchronization –
1. Delivering a common backlog for end to end application development, testing, operations enables bringing a common alignment and focus for the team.
2. Automation is a large part of the strategy to accelerate time to capability and improve quality, drive efficiency and transform user experience
3. Establishing KPI, baseline metrics and driving change management strategies to enable adoption and mind shift change.
1. It’s first about culture, adoption and shift in how things are done
2. Automation is the key to acceleration
3. Cloud Strategy should be an integral part
4. Adoption of agile processes that works for the team
5. Ability to baseline, measure and drive continuous improvement
