Description:

Document and Debate Culture focuses on good thinking through writing.  Used to develop a long term strategic plan, a more detailed operating plan, or an individual project, the writing process can align projects to priorities, facilitate debate, provide clear project objectives, create greater stakeholder support, and realize strategic benefits.  These tools can be used by project managers, PMOs, and teams in strategic, annual, and operations planning.  The result is better execution, and increased benefits realization.

This session takes a look at the principles behind Document and Debate Culture, best practices, challenges, and real-world experiences for delivering on projects and strategic objectives.

 Takeaways:

  • Define the documents, processes, and mechanisms of the document and debate culture to facilitate better thinking about projects.
  • How to develop an effective process for utilizing documents to improve project success.
  • Real world results of building a Document & Debate culture for projects.
