**IMPORTANT**
Summary:
The PMO is often seen as the group that keeps the trains running, but in reality it can be so much more than that. When it’s set up well, the PMO brings order to chaos, helps teams understand where they’re going, and gives leaders the clarity they need to make thoughtful choices. In this session, I’ll talk about what it looks like when a PMO steps into that role—when it supports the work instead of policing it, and when it becomes a partner leaders turn to because it helps them see the whole picture. I’ll share experiences from supporting large design and technology organizations where priorities changed constantly, teams spoke different “languages,” and the pressure to deliver never slowed down. The conversation is honest and practical: how to create visibility that people actually use, how to support teams when everything is moving at once, and how the PMO can bring a steadier rhythm to the entire organization. Attendees will leave with simple, realistic approaches that don’t require a full overhaul—just a shift in how the PMO shows up. Takeaways: • A clearer sense of what a modern PMO can be—and why teams need it. • Practical ways to help leaders make decisions with more confidence. • How to bring disparate teams into the same conversation without adding red tape. • Approaches that make planning feel supportive rather than heavy. • What PMOs can start doing immediately to create more value with the resources they already have. |
