No doubt, when it comes to leading and motivating people in projects, it’s hard to know what works best since every team is different, every situation is different and there are no real standards or playbooks for effectively managing people. That’s because your success with people depends on hundreds of different human factors and circumstances – just too many moving parts (variability and unpredictability) to try to manage. As a result, we continue to operate our projects by focusing on deliverables, timelines and deadlines, and hoping that people will somehow get along and perform. “Hope and cope” is not an effective people practice for success. This presentation will reveal 10 “people practices” that matter the most and work the best for leading and motivating people in projects.
