Event Description
Nine years after tech investor Marc Andreesen celebrated the market dominance of Silicon Valley “software eating the world,” he laments that now, amid COVID-19, we couldn’t make cotton swabs and respirators to save our lives. As a result, this mecca of innovation has lost lives and jobs. The cause? Inertia. He points to a lost will to build.
Our journey back to the prosperity of the American dream requires the adoption of best practices—some that Silicon Valley has widely adopted in recent years and other trusty practices that few remember. There’s plenty that’s new, unexpected, and yet unknown in the work that humans must do. That work needs to be started, and done enthusiastically and well.
In this presentation we’ll explore how we can be part of the solution.
