MS Excel Intermediate/Advance Class
Microsoft Excel is the most used spreadsheet application worldwide. This hands-on class will prepare learners to link workbooks to manage larger data sets, work with table data, create custom filters and use PivotTables. Topics will include Excel tables and pivot tables in depth, using multiple tables together, graphing of tables, and how to fix a variety of Excel quirks.
This class has a particular audience: people who want to manipulate data.
Prerequisites are a basic working knowledge of Excel 2010, 2013, or 2016. These basics include mastery of the grid system (cell addressing), the manipulation of how worksheets look, and simple formulas.
You will need to bring a laptop with one of these versions. Feel free to bring problem spreadsheets; if they fit one of the topics we will try to address them.
Instructor: William Wiltschko
The instructor began using Excel in late 1990, taught Excel at CSUMB, and has been an Excel power user for twenty years. He has written hundreds of macros and managed hundreds of tables. He is an engineer, MBA, and software designer, a certified PMI-ACP, and past president of the PMI Monterey Bay Chapter.
