Methodology and Tools for Quantitative Management of Platform Hardware/Software Development Programs

This session will show detailed usage of tools implementing architecture described for quantitative planning using Excel, Access, Project and Visio in ways you probably are not yet using. The methods and tools described give the Program Manager leverage to quantitatively plan and manage the program across involved organizations.

  • Using Excel Structured Tables with INDEX/MATCH, SUMIF, and MS Access QUERY /JOIN.
  • Building quantified program plans using Structured Tables for Allocation, Supply Chain, Build Plans, development BOM, and CAPEX.
  • Connecting MS Project GANTT schedule data to drive quantified program plans.
  • Reporting Program Plans and Actuals using the tools above to drive Pivot Tables and Charts, Power Bl. and plan visualizations using MS Visio Pro.
