"What is sustainability?" We will take a global view touching the UN Sustainable Development Goals, project Draw Down and the concept of a circular economy. Then we will shift to business realities around sustainability and talk about how companies are building awareness around CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), how supply chain choices amplify impact and what is a B Corp. Conducted in a conversational, workshop style, our goal is to have a better understanding of the interconnectivity around sustainability, share experiences and identify what we can do to foster a more sustainable future.

There are many definitions of what strategy is, many focus on competitive advantage, sustainable growth, superior performance, and organizational goals and objectives. Most conversations target how to define a winning strategy, but few spend little time discussing execution. This event is designed to bridge the gap between strategic leadership, those defining strategy, and execution professionals, those skilled and experienced in bringing big ideas to life.

Some Engineers and Project managers are comfortable promoting themselves and love social interaction, but most would rather do anything other than brag about themselves and spend time on any social media.

This practical and informative workshop will demonstrate how to use the world’s largest business network to powerfully represent yourself both passively if someone you meet looks at your profile and actively to gain attention from recruiters and employers and potential employees (they’re looking at you too!)

Avoiding the “too many projects” problem depends on a coherent portfolio management process for selecting and staffing projects. Whenever an organization initiates work requiring more money, staff, or other resources than are available, projects are a challenge to control and many inevitably fail. 

An effective process for managing project portfolios at the organization level helps to ensure that the mix of current projects remains within its realistic resource limits.
