We will discuss how Blockchain technology has been changing how humans transacted for thousand of years. For the first time, through the power of cryptography, we are able to eliminate the need to trust a third party to transact with other people and organizations. Some specific examples of how this innovation will shape the future of our civilization will be discussed. We will then dive deeper into the technical details of the Blockchain technology and issues that need to be overcome for the adoption of the technology. We will outline the work done at AMD to address some of these issues and accelerate the adaption of Blockchain technology.

About the Instructor:
Hamid Salehi
Hamid Salehi, Director of Product Marketing, Blockchain & FinTech, AMD
Hamid leads the product marketing team for Fintech & Blockchain at AMD. In his role, Hamid oversees marketing, product development and strategy. Prior to his current role, Hamid founded a startup in the IOT space, and worked at Marvell Semiconductor, Broadcom, T-Mobile, and Radio Frequency Systems (Alcatel-Lucent) in various roles, including product management, business development, analytics, and finance. Hamid received a PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Waterloo and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
