Proposed presentation proposals must align with the symposium theme of "Leadership for a Changing World: Inspiring Action, Driving Impact, and Creating Value." We are seeking topics that will be compelling to the attendees and will be applicable and practical for individuals from a wide variety of organizations and backgrounds. We encourage all presenters to broadly interpret this theme, and speakers from any industry, discipline, or project environment are welcome.

• Case studies: 
  • Have you successfully developed a high performing team while facing evolving project challenges and objectives? 
  • Do you have tips for using Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, or other emerging capabilities to improve project control?
  • Can you share practices for effectively using technology to encourage cooperation and collaboration? 
  • What can you share about your experience translating high-level strategic plans into meaningful project goals that motivate project team members?
• Methodology: 
  • What leadership concepts have you found useful when leading diverse and disparate teams? 
  • Have you applied Agile Methodologies while leading large teams or people who work independently? 
  • What leadership concepts and processes do you find work best in your organizational environment?
• Skills and techniques:  
  • How have you used tools to establish strong relationships and trust among cross-functional contributors and other disconnected stakeholders? 
  • How have you used collaborative methods to creatively solve problems, to defuse potential conflicts, to motivate distant team members, or to deal with project obstacles?
  • What techniques have you used to secure reliable commitments from remote stakeholders, distributed teams, customers, and sponsors? 
  • How have you effectively communicated and led teams with cultural, language, and organizational differences? 
• Success Stories or valuable lessons learned: 
  • Have you seen effective leadership practices that contribute to the success of projects in chaotic environments?
  • What “war stories” can you share to help others deliver good value and achieve better results?

Preference will be given to presentations that:

• Reflect leadership best practices in portfolio, program and project management

• Emphasize on case studies and concrete examples

• Are from speakers having extensive backgrounds and proven presentation skills
• Illustrate effective, evolving project management techniques or developments
• Provide practical value for our audience of seasoned project leaders from the Silicon Valley and around the San Francisco Bay Area
• Have not previously been delivered at other conferences.

Accepted presenters will receive the following:

Each presenter will have a total of 55 minutes to present, with 40-45 minutes to deliver content and 10-15 minutes for Q&A with the audience.

• Submission Date: Submit your proposals by July 9, 2023.
• All proposals will be reviewed by a committee and the selected presenters will be notified by July 31, 2023.
• Sample dry run for presentations might be conducted around late August 2023 depending on speakers' experience.
• Final presentations are due on September 18, 2023.
