This celebration is an opportunity to experience the County's agricultural past, present and future on land the Cottle Family farmed for over 150 years.  Activities include local arts, crafts and food items, meeting farm animals up-close, an urban forest demonstration, vintage farm equipment, gardening demonstrations, spring planting activities, fresh organic produce, garden workshops, Jacobs Farm tours, live music and more.  The Santa Clara County Parks need over 400 volunteers to make this event a success.  More information about the Spring Celebration can be found at https://scc.samaritan.com/custom/502/#/opp_details/3665?keyword=spring&sortPredicate=publishDateUtc&sortByAttribute=date&sortRecordType=opp&view=list.

Community Outreach:

Community Outreach Group volunteer projects provide an easy and enjoyable way to engage in community service, learn more about needs in our community and work with local non-profits addressing those needs.

Additional Information:

We are suggesting helping in the Carnival Zone, from 10am to 2pm as the activity likely to have the broadest appeal.  However, you are welcome to volunteer for any of the available activities and join us for networking before or after the mid-day work time.

If more PMISV members register for the Cattle Corral than for the Carnival Zone, your fearless leader will negotiate to join you for hay baling and cow milking.

"Volunteers are covered under PMISV's General Liability insurance for any damages /injuries they may cause while at an event when they are acting on behalf of the organization.  However, there is no coverage under PMISV's General Liability insurance for injuries to the Volunteer and PMISV does not provide Workers Compensation."
