PMISV- Coyote Creek Clean Up
PMISV Community Outreach:
Coyote Creek Cleanup
Mission and Vision:
Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful works with community groups, public agencies, and students to restore Coyote Creek through cleanups, plantings, recreational and cultural activities, and educational partnerships.
Our vision is a vibrant Coyote Creek: clean waters, abundant wildlife, and natural beauty that everyone can enjoy. We’re accomplishing this by both mobilizing community resources and participation, and by engaging community members to become the creek’s advocates and caretakers.
Coyote Creek was once a thriving creek with clean water and plentiful wildlife. Now, we have storm drain runoff with oils and microplastics, illegal dumping, street litter, and homeless trash that have degraded the creek, the water, and its banks. Our goal is to pick up as much trash as possible before it goes out to the creek, the Bay or the Ocean.
You are welcome to invite co-workers, friends, and family to this event. The minimum age is 15 years. All youths must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Each participant must be individually registered at https://211009-cleanup.eventbrite.com?team_token=2722467-p7o0q..
With the onset of the Delta virus, the PMI-SV chapter policy is that all participants are to be vaccinated. This is in the best interest for the people and groups we are supporting. This will be in place until an official government entity has declared safe conditions.
All equipment and supplies for this event are provided by the event hosts (Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful). Gloves, trashbags, and litter sticks.
