Course Description:

You got the interview. Now get the job.

Job interviews can be challenging, even for seasoned professionals. Preparation and practice are key.

This one-day workshop for the PMI Silicon Valley Chapter will teach you the skills you need to ace your next interview. Practice now, so you feel confident, relaxed, and ready to succeed.

What You Will Learn

You will learn and practice the three components of answering job interview questions:

1. Structure. Find out which speaking structures are the most effective for different question types.

2. Content. Learn the most impressive content to use in your responses to seven key questions.

3. Presentation. See how to look and sound your best on video and phone interviews.

How You Will Learn

• Prepare and Practice. During the workshop, you’ll have ample time to develop and deliver your answers.
• Personalized Feedback. Receive pointers on your answers from your Interview Coach, Karen.
• Small-Group Work. We’ll use breakout rooms in Zoom so you can practice in small groups and change partners throughout the day.

About the Instructor:

Karen Schiff

Karen Schiff is the founder of Well Said Coaching, a BayArea based communications company which helps professionals speak their best. She has extensive experience in the teaching and communications fields. Most recently, Karen led online trainings in interviewing skills for a Meet-Up group comprised primarily of technology professionals and in speaking skills for a FinTech company in Silicon Valley. Karen received her M.A. in organizational psychology from Columbia University, her B.S. in Speech from Northwestern University, and her TESL certification from UC Berkeley
