This workshop on AI features in Jira and Confluence covers a comprehensive introduction to utilizing AI tools for enhancing productivity and automating tasks. Participants begin with AI's capabilities in creating and editing Jira issues, such as decomposing epics into stories, adjusting tones, brainstorming descriptions, and turning rough notes into Jira issues. The session includes a focus on cleaning up Jira issues, summarizing reports for leadership, and leveraging Jira Query Language (JQL) for efficient searching of issues, blocked tasks, and closed sprints. Activities are embedded to solidify the practical understanding of these concepts.

In the Confluence section, the workshop introduces AI for content creation, from brainstorming ideas to rewriting content for clarity. The session also covers AI-powered search capabilities, such as defining terms and summarizing pages, along with answering specific questions about projects, policies, and campaigns. Additional segments focus on AI automation rules and smart links. Finally, the future of AI in Jira and Confluence is explored, showing how AI can assist in referencing relevant documents, organizing whiteboard ideas, and converting them into Jira tickets.
