Gone are the days when products engineering called the shots when to release. What took years for new products release, are now measured in days. What took months for updates occur in minutes! Customer responsiveness is the key to successful products delivery – whether it is software, hardware, or anything else. Building a capability to release products on demand and enabling that ability within an organization is the prime goal for DevOps. DevOps is a mindset, a culture and a set of technical practices. It provides communication, integration, automation, and close cooperation among all the people needed to plan, develop, test, deploy, release, and maintain all the products.

What does it take to embrace the DevOps mindset? Is the responsibility limited to certain people in the organization, or needs broadly embedded into the company culture to make it successful? How do you change the company culture? Let us also look at how the world has embraced DevOps rapidly and what we can do immediately in our organizations to be successful. In this presentation, we shall discover the science and the art of achieving such capability for an enterprise.

About the Instructor:

Prakash Bettadapur

Prakash Bettadapur is a Scaled Agile SPC SAFe 5 Consultant and Agile Coach. He currently works with many large companies and small and medium startups coaching them in the (Scaled) Agile Ways of Working. He is also an advisor to several startups in India and in US, and a Lean Startup advocate. Prakash was in senior engineering leadership roles in Cisco and also responsible for Agile Transformation in several business units there.
Prakash has Business Certificates in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Master’s degree in Computer Science.
