The Forum’s mission is to provide a community for women interested in the Project Management profession, focused on mutual growth and sharing of knowledge through informal meetings, networking and mentoring. Through mutual sharing the group seeks to provide insights into Project Management issues common to multiple industries. This interaction enables participants to make significant positive changes to their work environment.
Meeting Leader: Janet Daijo
Janet has more than 20 years of experience in technical program/project management, product development, and technical support in the Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and Medical Devices industries. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master (CSM), and SAFe Agilest (SA) with experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Business Leadership, and Technical Product Support. She has managed portfolios of projects ranging from software algorithms and biological assays kits to process improvement and service initiatives. She holds a master’s degree in cell, molecular, & developmental biology from the University of California Santa Barbara and a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from San Francisco State University. She has professional experience at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Roche Diagnostics, Molecular Devices, and other Life Sciences firms. Her extra-curricular activities include swimming, coaching, reading, arts, and volunteering.
