Preparing Yourself and Your Organization for the Internet of Things
Now that we have had about 4 years of full IoT hype, how is it actually going? What are the trends that are rising to the top and what are the trends that are going by the wayside? Since Edge Computing and Fog Computing have been on the rise in the past 18 months, what can we expect to see in 2018 and 2019?
The Internet of Things is surrounded by hype, rapidly changing technologies, unique security issues, and a whole lot of promise. The fact that IoT is so promising is the reason why we put up with the first three items in the list. Given that there are dozens of IoT topics and technology layers, how do you prepare yourself to jump into IoT? And how do you prepare your organization to embrace IoT when there are still no true standards? During my talk, I will help you understand IoT in a way that allows you to make some decisions, move forward, and begin to embrace it within your own career and within your organization.
