Community Outreach: Habitat Restoration at the Palo Alto Baylands 2017

Program Agenda: Community Outreach Program - Habitat Restoration at the Palo Alto Baylands

When:   June 24, 2017 8:45am - 1:00pm

Where:  Palo Alto Baylands

Last date for online registration: 6/16/2017

Back in 2013 - 2014, we helped Save the Bay remove non-native species and plant native species in the Palo Alto Baylands.  The mornings proved to be both fun and educational.  For this event, we will return to water plants installed last winter and to remove non-native species.  This is important because non-native species die off during the summer and leave habitat barren.  The native plants contribute to the health of the Baylands and provide habitat for wildlife year round.  Activities are easy to learn and make a positive impact on the health of the wetlands.

Directions: There are multiple meeting sites in the Palo Alto Baylands (Palo Alto).  Detailed directions to our meeting site will be provided the week of the event.

Community Outreach:

Community Outreach Group volunteer projects provide an easy and enjoyable way to engage in community service, learn more about needs in our community and work with local non-profits addressing those needs.
